Brabus Refines the new Mercedes SLR Roadster - 2EC7BE9U7MSF

Is it possible to make a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster even more exclusive and individual? Brabus proves that the topless Mercedes supercar can be made even sportier and more exciting with its sophisticated customization program. To give the two-seater even more striking looks while at the same time minimizing lift on the front axle, the Brabus designers have developed a front spoiler that attaches to the production bumper. The spoiler is made from exposed carbon fiber and its shape was fine-tuned in the wind tunnel. It is especially lightweight and extremely tough. A corresponding Brabus rear diffuser made from exposed carbon fiber can replace its production counterpart. The sporty Brabus outfit for the SLR Roadster is dominated by Brabus Monoblock VI 20-inch wheels that fill the wheel houses perfectly. The fully polished multi-piece wheels feature six double spokes and are mounted on the sports car in size 9.5Jx20 in front and size 11.5Jx20 on the rear axle. High-performance tires in sizes 255/30 ZR20 and 305/25 ZR20 are supplied by Brabus technology partners Pirelli and Yokohama. This low-profile tire/wheel combination is custom-tailored for the SLR coupe and roadster and benefits not only the car’s appearance but also its handling. Thus equipped the topless SLR is ready for some additional power provided by Brabus engine tuning. The power tuning for the supercharged 5.5-liter (335.5 cu. in.) engine consists of special camshafts, a fuel cooling system and a high-performance exhaust. With Brabus tuning, power output of the V8 compressor engine increases by 23 bhp to 640 bhp at 6,500 rpm.Brabus also offers a special clutch-type limited-slip differential with a locking rate of 40 percent. It further optimizes traction and improves acceleration performance of the super sports car. The tuned roadster sprints to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 209 mph.Precision handwork down to the last detail characterizes the exclusive Brabus interior design for the two-seater. The company-own upholstery shop specializes in fulfilling just about any request from discriminating SLR owners when it comes to customizing the interior. That includes a multitude of leather types and colors as well as custom upholstery designs. An unusual Brabus specialty is the waffle-patterned leather carpeting in the SLR’s footwells. Some 7,800 meters (25,600 feet) of the finest thread are sewn with utmost precision for it alone.A sporty and functional Brabus option is the ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel that is flattened on the bottom for markedly easier entering and exiting of the vehicle. The steering wheel features integrated buttons for manual shifting of the SLR’s automatic transmission.Sporty Brabus carbon-fiber applications for dashboard, center console and door trim transfer the racing look of the Brabus body components into the interior. The exposed carbon-fiber trim can be color-coordinated with the leather color of the interior.

TechArt Concept One (2010)

At the 80th Motor-Show in Geneva, TechArt presents the world premiere of the TechArt Concept One individualization study. Thomas Behringer, general manager of TechArt Automobildesign GmbH, says: "TechArt Concept One provides an exclusive outlook on our second individualization level for the Porsche Panamera model range, which is noticeably different from the first subtle program. The study is defined by concepts such as strength, individuality and self-consciousness, and clearly reflects our customers' requirements for uniqueness and sportiness. The Motor-Show in Geneva is precisely the perfect platform for presenting the design concept to the world's public."

Impressive exterior
In OE quality and fully manufactured from high-quality PU-RIM, the carrara white exterior package convinces owing to its massive and white characteristics. The front apron with integrated air inlets self-consciously emphasizes the design of the sporty 4-seater and also provides an improved air flow of the charge air intercoolers as well as improved brake cooling. A highlight is the distinct, extravagantly designed bonnet with inwrought air outlets. Powerful fenders and side skirts ensure a seamless transition among the wide wheel arches. Trim strips and elegant trim frames in the windows show the individualization down to the smallest detail typical of TechArt. The rear apron with integrated air openings and matching diffuser, together with the height-adjustable rear spoiler, rounds off the distinct exterior design. The double flow, black tail pipe of the TechArt stainless steel sports exhaust system also provide sporty accents in the striking rear of the vehicle. 22-inch TechArt Formula III forged light alloy wheels in exclusive dull platinum gray with Continental Sport Contact 3 tires fit seamlessly into the Porsche Panamera color combination and underline its self-conscious appearance.

TechArt Concept One
A look under the bonnet also knows how to convince the study. The TechArt engine optic package with carbon fiber engine covering, TechArt logotype and flash red coating already makes the visitor to the trade fair stand feel the power of the Panamera Turbo - increased once again by TechArt with a power thrust of up to 150 hp.

Convincing peak performances
The overall design concept for the exterior with a 21-mm wider front axis and a 42-mm wider rear axis - on each side of the body - compared to the serial model is convincing owing to the TechArt-typical suitability for everyday use. The multifunctional TechArt daylight driving headlight system contributes essentially to the active safety of the driver by combining daylight headlights, parking lights and turn signal lights as an LED system unit in one common housing that seamlessly fits into the vehicle front design. The intensity of the lights adjusts automatically to the selected headlight circuit. Additionally, the headlight can also be dimmed for improving the effect of the turn signal lights, even while turning off.

TechArt sets standards in the interior
TechArt sets standards in the finishing of automobile interiors. As in the areas of technical revision, aerodynamic optimization and exterior design, the passion for perfection is here once again in the sports car that can make the individual ideas of the TechArt customers a reality. TechArt's saddlery, well-known for valuable manufactured work, convinces in the study's interior through its unique internal finishing. The TechArt full leather finish in the cocoa and white color combination, leather applications on trim parts in cerbero as well as manually processed cording in phosphor green masterly reflect the unique external appearance in the interior as well. White carpeting in the vehicle's interior and trunk, the roof liner in alcantara and the white face with phosphor green digits complete the unusual individualization.

TechArt's top-class interior options
For the first time in the TechArt Concept One Study, TechArt presents the 3-spoke PDK sports steering wheel with shift paddles. The driver can now shift one gear upwards with one hand and one gear downwards with the other one.

In addition, the study also shows some exclusive extras: A 10.2-inch ceiling monitor with integrated DVD player, a rear center console and two high-quality folding tables built into the front seats will also help pass the time in the back seat of the Panamera - whether for entertainment or work - this is left to the customer's personal imagination - as is almost everything at TechArt.

Edo Ferrari Enzo XX Evolution (2009)

The Ferrari Enzo with its 660 horsepower is arguably one of the most exclusive cars in the world, both in terms of its driving dynamics and purchase price. Those looking for something considerably faster and more exclusive choose the edo Ferrari Enzo XX Evolution.
A bump in displacement from 6.0 to 6.3 liters, new camshafts, new titanium valve spring retainers and connecting rods, modified cylinder heads, new high performance exhaust headers, high flow catalytic converters, mufflers and air filters: that's the scope of edo competition's engine modifications. The standard hydraulic tappets are replaced with newly developed solid tappets, enabling the 12 cylinder engine to rev to an incredible 9,600 rpm. This is unmatched by any other 12 cylinder engine at this time! Additionally the intake system of the V12 was modified, a new high performance clutch - available with „strada" or „pista" friction pads - and a more powerful oil pump were installed. The power output is increased by 180 to 840 horsepower. Without mufflers more than 860 horsepower is possible. The maximum torque of 780 Nm (575 ft-lb) is available at 5,800 rpm.

While the power output is increased, the Ferrari Enzo's weight is decreased by a respectable 100 kilograms (220 lb). The result in numerical terms is that the edo Ferrari Enzo XX Evolution accelerates from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.2 seconds, 200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.0 seconds and 300 km/h in just 19 seconds. The top speed exceeds 390 km/h (242 mph).

The acoustical side of things is obviously not being neglected. A stainless steel muffler featuring remote-controlled butterfly valves is available on request. This setup lets the driver switch the high performance exhaust between two different sound levels.

Astonishing transmission shift times: While the production Enzo takes 110 milliseconds, the edo Ferrari Enzo XX Evolution shift times were reduced to an incredible 60 milliseconds! For comparison, an F1 car shifts in 40 milliseconds.

The edo/KW race suspension from the FIA GT series was retuned for the Enzo XX Evolution, promising ultimate driving dynamics. The nose lift functionality is retained. The low-friction 3-way adjustable shock absorbers can be adjusted to the individual tastes of the driver and provide excellent steering precision and feedback. The edo-installed tire pressure monitoring system displays the pressures for each of the four wheels. Providing ample grip for the edo Ferrari Enzo XX Evolution are 19 inch front wheels and 20 inch rear wheels with 335 mm wide tires.

The drive shafts were replaced due to the higher propulsive forces acting on them. The new units are 4 kg (8.8 lb) lighter and considerably more robust in order to cope with the enormous power increase.

The aerodynamics package is absolutely unique. It includes a complete exhaust system with tips machined from billet aluminum, now relocated to the top of the body. The tips are plasma-coated using a special process. The newly developed rear skirt featuring winglets and a rear wing profile, adjustable in 3 steps, improves the ground effect and can be tuned to the tastes of the driver. The new retractable rear wing is upgraded with a taller flap resulting in increased downforce and stability, especially at high speeds. New LED tail lights round off the rear view of the car.

A test day with an instructor, mechanics, data logging, transport and hospitality is included in the conversion package.
